Graph quadrants11/9/2022 ![]() ![]() The result will the following quadrant chart: Repeat this exact same process to add the vertical line to the chart. Starting in the top right corner is Quadrant I and in a counterclockwise direction you will see Quadrants II through IV. To explain, the two dimensional Cartesian plane is divided by the x and y axes into four quadrants. We call each of these sections quadrants. A quadrant is the area contained by the x and y axes thus, there are four quadrants in a graph. And you can see it divides a coordinate plane into four sections. ![]() So this right here is the x-axis and this up-down axis is the y-axis. And when we talk about the sections, we're talking about the sections as divided by the coordinate axes. The following horizontal line will automatically be added to the chart: A quadrant are each of the four sections of the coordinate plane. Then click the Marker icon, then click None: Then click the Line icon, then click Solid line and choose Black as the Color: #GRAPH QUADRANTS SERIES#Click on either dot to bring up the Format Data Series panel on the right side of the screen. Two orange dots will be added to the plot. In the new window that appears, type any name you’d like in the Series name box, then choose B12:B13 in the Series X Values box, then type C12:C13 in the Series Y Values Box, then click OK: In the new window that appears, click Add: Next, right click anywhere on the scatter plot and click Select Data: #GRAPH QUADRANTS HOW TO#The following screenshot shows how to calculate the values for both the horizontal and vertical lines:
